Took my 2011 Honda Civic in for A/C relay switch replacement, and front left ball bearing replacement. They quoted me 800 to 900 dollars for the repair. I authorized it. I get a phone call and they stated that they received the aftermarket ball bearing's part for a Honda Civic, but it did not fit in the knuckle. So, I asked how much more, and they said $1,400.00. They stated "Honda" told them that my model of Honda Civic has issues with the aftermarket part not fitting. So, without freaking out, I called Honda, who had a complete history of my car and asked if this would be true, and they stated that it did not make any sense since the Honda Civic is a very common car. When I confronted this repair shop with that information, they put be on a very brief hold, and came back and said, "We found the Part Bob". It is a shame when mechanics play these types of games, they just deepen the mistrust most people have in auto mechanics. Bye, Bye Honest 1 Auto Repair, never again.
