Diamond Lake Auto Repair

Went to Honest-1 for regular service when I lived in the area. I don't have any bad experiences to speak of but also don't have any standout experiences either. I knew the cost, I knew what work was needed in the future, and I knew my car was being treated well.

I got what I came in for, and they worked it on a busy day. End-of-winter pothole damage corrected, and brakes cleaned and adjusted.

They've always taken care of me, and have been very fair with me.

I have driven past this facility for 5 years and often wondered about the quality of service. I found out this morning just how great it is! The staff was friendly and accommodating even though I popped in first thing this morning without an appointment. They did not try to sell me something I did not need, yet checked my tires, fluids, etc. to make sure they were all acceptable. The battery I needed was in stock so they took care of my needs quickly. The customer waiting area was warm, comfortable and much cleaner than most other auto shops I have been in. Honest 1 will be my go-to place for service from now on.

Had some work done on my car last week. Nick, the manager, was honest, fair, and knowledgeable. They did a great job on the car.

I came in on a wintry night, 30 min. before closing and obtained service. Got a ride to my home, also a pick-up the next day when the job was complete. Rapid response, good communication, fair prices. Highly recommended.

All the employees are super nice n helpful, they got a really nice bathroom, a computer you can use, good coffee, and comfy seats. Oh and of course they fix your car up real nice! And they funny

Been a customer here for a couple years, they're always professional, answers any question in a clear manner and they have free snacks! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have their vehicle checked out.

I made a last minute appointment because my maintenance light had gone on a few days before and my usual mechanics could not do it. I had to bring my 2 year old grandson, but it turned out to be a great play place for him. I felt that the check was thorough, but I didn't feel like they were trying to over sell me and I would definitely go back.

This is the second time I have been here and had less than stellar service. Last time, they said they check the air in the tires but when I got it back, the same tire was still low and I had to ask them to re-fill it. (ie. they lied). The second and last time I went there for an oil change, and they left the filter loose, allowing oil to seep out for a few days before I noticed the drops on the garage floor and checked their work and saw the filter leaking. I wont be back. More: After returning to the location at 60th and Portland Ave in South Minneapolis, the manager did profusely apologize for the service that did not meet their standards or mine. They took the car in immediately, and found that they had managed to crinkle the gasket on the oil filter, causing the leakage. They replace the filter, and gasket, topped off the oil, and then Degreased the bottom and top of the affected area. It looks back to normal now. Thank you for rectifying the situation. Oh, and the manager gave me some 15% off discount coupons which I passed on to acquaintances. Thanks Nick. Good to see a company stand behind their work. I've changed my rating.
